Queen Mary Crew Cabinet

Several months ago I acquired a crew cabinet from the Queen Mary. The cabinet was in pretty good condition, but it had been stripped so it needed to get refinished.  I have very happy that I’ve finally been able to finish this project:

I can’t wait to get it up on the wall and filled with Queen Mary treasures.

Queen Mary Third Class Dining Room Chairs

These chairs came from the Third Class Dining Room Chairs.

I am so happy to have these chairs and in such great condition.  They even have the markings of Tourist Class,  tie-downs and the brass ends.

The chairs have some great markings:

I also got some other goodies from her, a bakelite two-cup cup holder (I already have a single cup one, so I was really excited to see a two-cup one) a great bakelite light and deck plans from the 60s.  The next time I visit her (hopefully soon!) I want to take the deck plans and compare it to how she is today.

Needless to say it was a good Christmas around our house.
